Happy New Year!

I am starting 2018 with a new project, my own blog. I have to admit this project was on my mind for a very long time. Some days ago I woke up thinking about it.. and thinking about it.

“Enough of this, I have to do it.”ย

So here it goes. What do I what? To write write write.“Am I gonna be able to write this in English. Don’t get me wrong, my English is pretty good but surely not perfect.”

Oh well, my parking isn’t good also but I manage so there you have it. I once read somewhere that the most difficult step is to start. Sure, keeping at it isn’t easy either but living with the “what if” would be such a waste.

“I’m gonna be on the ship for so many months. Do I really want to spend my free time working on a blog when I could be sleeping and just laying there doing sweet nothing.”

I could.. yes. But what would that say about me like a human being. Where are the challenges, the innovation, keeping my mind busy, right?

So cheers to new beginnings and 2018! 2017 was so so kind with me and I will always remember it dearly but 2018 is fresh and hopefully more awesome than ever.

Very nice. My sister, the late, Capt. Paula Torres Werner, was a DC – 9 Captain who flew for US AIRWAYS many years ago. She presided over that companies inaugural all female flight crew.
